Frequently asked questions
Are these QR codes really free, even for commercial use?
Yes. Every QR code you create here is free to use for personal and commercial projects — no sign-up, no watermark and no limits on scans or downloads.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the content is stored directly in the pattern, so they work forever and do not depend on our servers. If the content (for example a URL) changes, generate a new code.
Can I put a logo in the middle of my QR code?
Yes. Upload a logo in the “Logo” section. QR codes have built-in error correction, so a logo covering up to about 25% of the code still scans — choose “High” error correction for larger logos.
Which file format should I download?
Use SVG for print and design tools because it scales without losing quality. Use PNG for websites, documents and presentations, JPG when transparency is not needed, and WebP for small web images.
Is my data stored or tracked?
No. Generation and scanning happen entirely in your browser. When you scan an image from a URL, our server only fetches the image for you and does not keep it.
How big should a printed QR code be?
A good rule of thumb is a size of at least one tenth of the scanning distance, and never smaller than 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in). Use our QR code size calculator for a precise recommendation.
